ROSSICONTEMPORARY
Opened on 1 September 2008, Rossicontemporary is run by Francesco Rossi, a Brussels-based Italian art historian with twenty years experience who has been successively a teacher and lecturer, a free lance journalist and a gallery assistant. He brings to the new gallery a passion for art, an educated collector's instinct and a valuable experience of the art market.
Rossicontemporary intends to give emerging and mid-carrier artists the opportunity to grow and fulfil their potential in a professional context and to offer collectors and art-lovers' a selection of artworks of high standard artistic quality.
Since June 2011 Piazza, a project space consisting in four large windows, hosts site specific projects by international artists.
In September 2011 a new mezzanine gallery Rossicontemporary The Mezzanine was also opened to the public.
The gallery and the mezzanine gallery, together with the project space, host each year about twenty exhibitions mostly focusing on contemporary painting and drawing as well as on conceptual art practices.
